Position Summary:

Are you a strategic leader with a knack for streamlining financial operations? At Roseman University’s College of Dental Medicine, we’re looking for a dynamic Director of Revenue Cycle Management to spearhead our business office's efforts in billing, claims, and collections.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead our Billing and Collections department, inspiring and mentoring a talented team to reach new heights. As the key driver of operational and financial excellence, you’ll steer our Revenue Cycle to success.

You’ll be at the forefront of managing provider enrollment, streamlining claims processing, overseeing payment collections, handling insurance reimbursements, and managing self-pay accounts. With a strategic mindset, you’ll set bold targets, monitor progress, and ensure our initiatives align perfectly with Roseman University’s broader goals.

Essential Functions:

Manage patient accounts receivable, including daily deposit reconciliation, preparing weekly deposits, maintain petty cash, run financial reports to identify and correct billing errors.

Assumes responsibility for daily management of the Business Office (including Registration, Medical Records, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Scheduling, and Insurance Verification and Collections).

Monitors the flow of work in the Business Office and reassigns staff as workload demands.

Oversight of working with third-party business services vendors, including insurance credentialing, collecting, and/or any vendor providing business services.

Collaborate with Associate Dean Clinical Education on work flow of EHR software.

Monitors and analyzes all reports for the operational success of the business office.

Evaluates registration, insurance verification and cash posting to determine the integrity of data input.

Oversee balances of any Charitable Donation projects.

Work closely with Associate Dean, Clinical Education, to oversee clinical business services work flow in all clinics including identify workflow issues.

Work closely with Clinical Education of Missing/Unapproved Charges.

Actively seeks opportunities to improve financial outcomes, engaging staff in the process.

Establishes annual financial goals and actively uses benchmarking to high performing systems in similar area of expertise to set annual targets.

Supervise staff of revenue Cycle management team.

Work with University Business and Finance office for audit request and ensure compliance procedures are followed.

Maintain records related to operations and services that are complete, accurate, available, and in compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.

Create new policies to improve accuracy.

Resolve patient/provider conflict.

Assist in creating clinic workflow and train staff.

Assist in Unapproved procedures in order to file billings.

Provide information request by the University’s Business and Finance Office.

Respond to the request for information from external auditor working with the University.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or equivalent work experience as an office manager of a dental practice; minimum of 8 years’ experience managing the financial operations of a dental practice, academic clinic, or government-related clinical institution; or any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.

Preferred candidates should have an in-depth understanding of clinical business operations, with knowledge and experience in a dental clinic setting.
