The Revenue Cycle Manager oversees all billing and revenue cycle functions to maximize cash flow and improve customer relations. Key responsibilities include managing the revenue cycle team, optimizing processes, ensuring compliance, providing analysis, creating written processes, and training staff. This role is essential for maintaining efficient day-to-day operations and fostering a cross-functional revenue cycle team.Hybrid schedule with at least 3 days a week in the office.Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Lead and manage the revenue cycle team, including billing, coding, and collections staff.Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for team members.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Revenue Cycle Operations:

Oversee the entire revenue cycle process from patient registration to final payment.Ensure accurate and timely billing and coding of services.Monitor and manage accounts receivable and collections processes.Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue cycle performance and reduce days in accounts receivable.Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve billing and coding issues.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and other healthcare billing standards.Prepare and analyze financial reports related to the revenue cycle, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Conduct regular audits of billing and coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in regulations affecting revenue cycle operations.

Patient Interaction:

Address patient inquiries and concerns related to billing and payment.Develop and implement policies to improve patient satisfaction with the billing process.

Technology and Process Improvement:

Implement and manage revenue cycle management software and other technological solutions.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of revenue cycle systems with other clinic systems.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field or minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare related management.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.Proven track record of managing and improving revenue cycle processes.Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and revenue cycle management software.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing and coding practices.Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.Proficiency in using revenue cycle management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
