KANSAS SPEEDWAY

Kansas Speedway, which opened in 2001, is located in the heart of the Midwest in Kansas City, Kansas. With easy access to major highways, along with the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, restaurants, shopping and other entertainment, Kansas Speedway has easily become a destination for fans. The track hosts two NASCAR Cup Series races, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series. In addition to two race weekends, Kansas Speedway hosts over 200 event days each year.

Kansas Speedway seeks a positive, motivated, organized individual looking to lead one of the hardest driving sales teams in sports. The Group Sales Manager is tasked with leading and driving ticket.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBuild and lead Group Sales team at the track locationLead by example, selling group sales programsWork with track leadership to identify new group sales opportunities in marketEstablish active communication and engagement with existing and new group sales accountsDevelop relationships across track departments to ensure ongoing collaboration and successDevelop strong relationships with local colleges/universities for recruiting opportunitiesInterview, hire, and train employees. Coach, provide guidance, develop and/or discipline employeesMeet and exceed both individual and overall team yearly sales goalsCompile reports and prepare presentations for track and corporate leadershipCreate, partner and execute group experiences at the trackBe on-site for race weekends to help the team execute all of their group sales initiativesAssist with fan experiences or other race day operations as neededPosition may require occasional travelOther duties as assignedQualifications

Minimum two (2) years of sales experience, preferably in a sports sales environmentPrior experience in a group sales environment preferredPrior experience leading a teamBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous CRM Platform experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) skills requiredAttention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees, clients, officers, and peers in a professional mannerAbility to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlinesStrong collaboration skillsPassion for building and guiding the sales processMust have a valid driver's licenseRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, use hands to feel and handle, ability to lift 20 pounds and see including close visionMust be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended numbers of days.(Race events)
