for more details about our benefits program.Job SummaryThe Director of IT is a strategic leader that oversees and directs Neighborhood House’s information technology functions, investments, and initiatives. The Director of IT will report to the Executive Director and work closely with executive leadership to align IT strategy with organizational objectives, lead cross-functional teams, and oversee the implementation of technology to enhance operational efficiency and support organizational growth.ResponsibilitiesStrategic IT Planning, Execution and Management (50%)In partnership with NH leadership, develop, implement, and manage a shared strategic vision and work plan that assures that agency IT and data systems effectively support 300+ staff operating in multiple locations.Foster strong relationships with other departments to identify technology needs and opportunities for process improvements.Act as a liaison between IT and other departments to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals.Lead cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiencies.Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.Create, maintain and enforce written IT/data risk management, storage, confidentiality policies and procedures in the IT group and throughout the agency.Plan and implement IT department budget that considers upgrades, migrations, operations, and contingencies.System Maintenance, Staffing and Resources (50%)Provide overarching guidance and prioritization for database development projects, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational vision and objectives.Work with the IT team and agency managers to identify technology problems and opportunities, find and implement cost effective and creative solutions.Support the professional growth and retention of IT team, comprised of Help Desk, System Admin, and Database Developers.Provide incident resolution and troubleshooting as back up to help desk, and for higher level technical issues.Manage relationships with technology vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions.Oversee the performance of external vendors and consultants to ensure they meet organizational standards.Evaluate new equipment, software and systems continuously, recommend changes as appropriate and oversee their installation and adoption.Oversees the procurement, installation, and maintenance of all computer hardware, software and other resources necessary to keep IT systems operational, responsive, and resilient.In consultation with IT staff, internal stakeholders, and external consultants, develop, implement, monitor and update a cybersecurity strategy to protect confidential data and minimize risks.Ensure the development and maintenance of comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans, providing oversight and guidance to guarantee organizational resilience and swift recovery from disruptions.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsB.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Public Administration, or related field. Experience may substitute for a degree.Five (5) years progressively responsible IT experience with at least three (3) years of management/supervisory responsibility.Knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure, networks, data systems, data security, Microsoft Office applications, and emerging technologies.Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with constant change and growth.Proven high attention to detail and strong project management skills.Successful individual contributor and team leader.Self-starter, highly organized, dependable, strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple complex problems at once.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Desired QualificationsProven track record of planning, executing and managing cloud migration.Demonstrated experience in leading organizational shift from legacy databases to SaaS platforms.Experience working in a government funded, multi-service, non-profit organization.Relevant advanced certifications.Leadership Qualities and CharacteristicsYou have made a personal commitment to racial equity and social justice.You are constantly learning and growing professionally, and are willing to try innovative solutions and bring new ideas.You think strategically, connecting to the bigger picture, and future impact of the choices we make now.You are humble, willing to admit and learn from mistakes, open to feedback, willing to work through conflict.You have a pulse on employee climate and culture.
