hybrid

CHA's architects envision buildings that will have a lasting impact by providing architectural design, interior design and planning that is focused on the people who will live, work, learn, grow, and expand their horizons in these spaces. Our architects and designers seek to create high-quality, collaborative designs that stress innovation grounded in careful listening to functional needs and tailored to culture and specific organizational needs. At CHA, architects and engineers work together to create solutions that endure in the built environment.The Principal Architect has broad knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas and knowledge of principles and practices in related specialties. The Principal Architect plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of complex projects. This individual is responsible for providing technical direction and leadership to the group. In addition, the Principal Architect will:Assist the group with project design and quality controlManage and coordinate with junior staff on all phases of design projectsMentor and train staffSupport marketing and proposal efforts to obtain new workDemonstrate creativity, foresight and solid architectural judgement in solving problemsAssist in the development of company standard technical practicesEnsure government regulations and zoning codes are followed and adhered toPrepare 2D & 3D presentationsTravel as neededAt CHA, you can build a career and find your passion across our diverse business lines and project teams. Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree preferredRegistered Architect license requiredLEED accreditation is requiredA minimum of 20 years of Architecture experienceMastery of all necessary software programsExceptional verbal, written and graphic communication skillsExtensive knowledge of detailed architectural design is requiredExtensive knowledge of buildings codes within various jurisdictionsAbility to work and lead in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to conduct QA/QC reviewsExceptional organizational, time management and multitasking skillsMust possess technical acumen and the ability to troubleshoot on a variety of projectsSALARY RANGE:
$105,000 - $135,000Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.CULTURE/EEO STATEMENT
