Key ResponsibilitiesLeads practical applications of scientific theory and unusually complex processes in the development and ongoing technical management of the unit's product line.Leads research, development, and implementation in new products and extensions or enhancements to existing product line.Interact with key customers to resolve unusually complex process engineering issues for the unit's product line to address our customers' High Value Problems (HVP).Leads alpha engineering program regarding all process technology related issues for the unit's product line.Responsible for alpha and beta product release for business unit's product line.Participates in strategic planning to integrate research and development processes with both the unit and the Product Business Group's overall business plan.Identify, select, and work with vendors and suppliers.Functional KnowledgeRecognized as “guru” or external expert in a function.Demonstrates broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques, and/or technologies within own field.Business ExpertiseInfluences internal/external business and/or regulatory issues that have an impact on the business.LeadershipLeads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership.Problem SolvingProactively identifies and solves the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions.ImpactImpacts business direction through the development of innovative services or products.Interpersonal SkillsNegotiates with senior management, customers, regulators, or vendors to influence decisions.QualificationsEducation:
