experienced Medical Planners

to join our team to work with our healthcare clients. This is your opportunity to work with a team of dedicated, creative and fun architects and designers on award-winning projects.The Medical Planner provides planning efforts for healthcare projects and works with the project team in the development of projects under the direction of a Senior Medical Planner. Responsibilities include:Developing and detailing building systems and components, beginning in schematic design through construction documents.Contributing to the schematic design of projects and being responsible for functional aspects of the proposed solutions.Collaborating and coordinating with designers, project architects, specialty consultants, and engineers in the production of drawings and specifications.Conducting analyses of long-term healthcare facility needs and developing solutions involving the construction of new facilities and major rehabs of existing facilities.Successful candidates will:Have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent education.Be a licensed Architect, or actively working towards licensure.Have a minimum of 6+ years’ experience in healthcare architecture in a professional architectural office setting.Have a minimum of 3+ years' experience as a Medical Planner.Exhibit excellent design/planning ability and the potential to generate a variety of options for the layout of departmental spaces, healthcare facilities, and campuses.Hold certifications in EDAC, WELL AP, LEED, and/or Lean (recommended).Possess good computer skills: Microsoft suite, Revit, Adobe suite, Bluebeam or similar mark-up software.Demonstrate good communication skills including oral, written, and graphic; and good hand drawing skills.Working with us, you will:Work on medical planning efforts for healthcare projects under the direction of a Senior Planner.Understand FGI guidelines, jurisdiction (OSHPD or local), and current building and licensing code requirements.Collaborate and coordinate with designers, project architects, specialty consultants, and engineers in the production of drawings and specifications.Prepare 2D and 3D drawings/presentations for interviews or client/stakeholder meetings.Develop multiple comprehensive space and functional programs based on the client's program requirements.At Taylor Design, we’re humble—it keeps us grounded.
