Reporting to our global legal head of real estate, construction, and utilities, this role will support Micron’s expansion in multiple locations in the United States. Micron intends to invest $50 billion through 2030 to build groundbreaking memory manufacturing facilities in the U.S. This role will work closely with our procurement, construction, facilities, real estate, and utility teams to draft, negotiate, and administer contracts required by Micron's business and operations in connection with these historic and transformational investments. This role requires a deep understanding of large construction projects from initiation through final completion; a growth mindset; and the ability to lead all aspects of and support multiple simultaneous projects. This role is for you if you are not only passionate about construction and real estate, but passionate about being part of a forward-looking team and making a difference.What’s Encouraged Daily:Serve as a trusted business partner to Micron’s Global Operations Team, providing strategic and practical legal advice and guidance regarding business and legal issues and risks within the construction and real estate realm.Work closely with senior leadership from Micron’s Legal Department to address, and provide timely solutions to, legal and compliance issues related to the construction, development, and operation of the facility.Draft, negotiate, and process high volumes of complex construction, real estate, facilities, utility, and other contracts.Serve as a key resource supporting Micron’s U.S. expansion, including both construction and real estate (indirect procurement).Advise Micron regarding construction and real estate interactions and disputes with suppliers/vendors/contractors, while balancing the business interests of clients.What We’re Looking For:J.D. degree from an accredited law school, along with active membership in at least one state bar.7-10 years’ experience in the practice of commercial and contract law, with an emphasis on construction and real estate.Deep experience with large development/construction projects.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, demonstrate tact, and otherwise interact well with colleagues and management.Highly focused with the ability to make independent decisions and work with limited supervision while excelling in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work product.Strong work ethic and ability to handle and advance multiple projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.Micron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
