Responsibilities
Take a leadership role in working with security researchers, program managers, other data scientists, and engineering teams to develop a data-driven strategy for detecting attacks against AzurePerform exploratory data analysis on massive data sets generated from telemetryPerform experiments to determine the most effective approaches to detect attacks, including application of supervised, unsupervised, and anomaly detection machine learning techniquesTrain and deploy machine learning models to production environments to support detecting new attacks on AzureImplement machine learning pipelines for continuous retraining and evaluation of model performanceParticipate and take a leading role in planning how we should measure the most pressing threats to the Azure environment and guiding others in the creation and improvement of these metrics.Qualifications

Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)OR equivalent experience.

Data Science IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
