BigIron is looking for a Director of Product Management to join our team! The Director of Product Management will lead the strategy, development, and execution of the product roadmap across multiple platforms. This visionary leader will manage cross-functional teams, drive user-centric solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in product management, team leadership, and compliance within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. This is a remote role with some travel required to our office locations as needed.
Essential Functions:
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of product managers responsible for driving product strategy, development, and execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
Oversee product roadmaps, budgets, and resource allocation while driving strategic initiatives to achieve business goals.
Spearhead ideation sessions, define critical project paths, and collaborate with leadership to plan and execute product strategies.
Enhance team performance through mentoring, restructuring, and fostering accountability, leading to significant improvements in productivity and efficiency.
Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, customer satisfaction, and technology adoption.
Ensure technology solutions are secure, user-friendly, and accessible while meeting diverse client needs and industry best practices.
Coordinate change management efforts, including training sessions and the development of documentation and best practices.
Manage platform integration efforts, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Project Management) are a plus.
5+ years of experience as a Product Manager.
3+ years of proven experience in leading product management teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Experience with .NET strongly preferred.
Experience with the following preferred: Agile, Scrum, and Jira.
Significant experience with cloud-based ecommerce and marketplace technologies, Microsoft development, and Azure Cloud infrastructure.
Experience with marketplace businesses.
Strong background in developing and executing product roadmaps, with a focus on delivering high-impact solutions that meet customer and business needs.
Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Experience with agile methodologies, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on result-oriented, customer-driven solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to executives and stakeholders.
