The REACH Program of Evergreen Treatment Services works with individuals experiencing homelessness and behavioral health conditions to help them achieve stability and improved quality of life.

The REACH mission is to foster community health and safety through outreach, relationship, healing interventions, and systems advocacy for people who use drugs.

This dynamic position plays an important role in helping ETS accomplish our mission!

Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Outreach role is part of the Outreach domain at REACH that supports ETS’ mission through engaging people who use drugs and live outside in a designated geographic area.

This role makes a critical difference at ETS by supporting individuals in various stages of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) needs and homelessness and building connections with community-based partners.

The position is full-time onsite, and the days and hours are typically M-F. 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with potential need for after hours or weekend coverage.

What you contribute to this role – Responsibilities:

Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity.

Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community.

Oversee communication and collaboration with the City of Seattle Unified Care Team.

Manage Outreach supervisors and support day-to-day operations of Outreach team demands.

Support contract management for all contracts in Outreach domain.

Oversee ETS REACH supplies and inventory process.

Train REACH milieu spaces on Outreach practices.

Provide organizational direction to Outreach related projects.

Provide oversight regarding hiring and onboarding of new Outreach team members.

Help lead program coordination and REACH domain collaboration.

Collaborate with community partners to support REACH mission and vision growth.

Oversee Outreach data tracking design and training.

Work closely with the Outreach director to plan and implement program initiatives.

Take responsibility for carrying out strategic planning activities.

Supervise program managers and supervisors.

Oversee project management function for domain initiatives.

Initiate process improvement tools and support systems.

Provide leadership in collaboration with Quality Information Risk Management (QIRM) team.

Monitor all budgetary components of domain activities.

Partner proactively with internal and external stakeholders.

Oversee and carry out extensive data analysis activities.

Serve in an active leadership capacity throughout the organization.

Collaborate closely with HR to support leadership to resolve all personnel issues.

Initiate and facilitate staff training and development as needed.

Help develop policies and procedures.

Provide expert consultation and direct support to staff during crisis situations.

Collaborate directly with ETS’ Safety Officer to address safety issues.

What you bring to this role – Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum of 10 years working in community outreach, public health, social work, or related areas.

Minimum of five years in progressively increasing leadership roles providing direct supervision.

Significant direct experience serving people with behavioral health conditions living unhoused desired.

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of racial justice and social equity.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and staff.

Expertise in how the outreach continuum in Seattle/South King County operates.

Knowledge of Outreach data tracking and standards.

Skilled outreach to support a radically hospitable approach.

Understanding of organizational policies and safety planning skills.

Ability to engage a multigenerational team.

Outstanding strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent leadership and program oversight skills.

Well-developed collaboration and consensus-building skills.

Optimal analytical skills for generating reports.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.

Dependable and able to work under pressure.

Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Conditions and Requirements:

The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues and fumes.

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to

30 pounds .

Equipment Used:

Computer, photocopier, and phone.

Possible use of a program vehicle, requiring a valid Driver’s License.
