The Associate, Human Resources Generalist reports to the Director, Global People Operations, and serves as an administrator for several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, performance management, employee relations, health and safety, compensation, training, DE&I, employee engagement, and employee records. This role works collaboratively with the broader HR team, organizational stakeholders, and employees to support GMAC's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide internal support and partnership to organizational functions/departments to deliver required human resources programs and talent.Facilitate and provide guidance on GMAC HR policies and programs; Be a point of contact for employees for HR-related questions.Provide support in developing and documenting HR policies that support GMAC business goals and foster a positive work environment.Support internal communications related to culture, DEI, and employee engagement.Ensure labor law and regulatory compliance; Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations.Responsible for new employee onboarding, including recruitment and orientation support and planning.Enter and maintain data in HRIS (i.e., Workday).Coordinate with the broader HR team to process and maintain employment, attendance, and other records.Assist with contractor management (i.e., onboarding and offboarding), when needed.Continuously seek opportunities to improve HR processes and systems, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.Independently lead assigned HR projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and effective execution.Track and submit invoices and expenses for the human resources function.Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.1-2 years' work experience as an HR professional.Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in HR management and operations.Demonstrated experience in working with managers and employees to address and resolve HR-related issues by independently analyzing situations, identifying options, and making recommendations.Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).Experience with HRIS software and tools for efficient task management and data analysis (e.g., Workday).Excellent organizational, project planning, presentation and time management skills with careful attention to detail.Ability to manage daily operations of the function and prioritize work without direction and make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.Strong analytical and multitasking capabilities.Strong independent thinking and decision-making abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong collaborator.Ability to work in-office and remotely according to GMAC's hybrid work environment.The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Desired Skills/Experience:
