Job Summary:

The Construction Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding market presence for our construction firm. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and managing the end-to-end business development process to achieve company goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, exceptional sales skills, and a track record of successful project acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.Analyze competitor activities and market conditions to inform business strategies.Lead Generation & Client Acquisition:

Identify and pursue potential clients, projects, and partnerships.Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.Strategy Development:

Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.Collaborate with senior management to align business development strategies with company objectives.Project Management:

Oversee the development of project proposals, including scope, budget, and timeline.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project requirements are met and deadlines are achieved.Contract Negotiation:

Negotiate contracts and terms with clients and partners to secure business opportunities.Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements.Relationship Management:

Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, industry professionals, and stakeholders.Address client concerns and provide solutions to maintain high levels of satisfaction.Reporting & Performance Tracking:

Monitor and report on business development performance and progress.Analyze project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.Brand Representation:

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.Promote the company's brand and services to enhance market visibility.Job Requirements

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry.Proven track record of successful project acquisition and relationship management.Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of the construction industry, including project management, procurement, and regulations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to develop and present persuasive proposals and presentations.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Personal Attributes:

Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.Additional Requirements:

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.Professional certifications or memberships in industry organizations are a plus.
