We create opportunities for every child’s potential and well-being through the Radiant Colors program, work to create a sustainable future, and in partnership with the International Fund for Animal Welfare have committed to animal conservation.There is no better time than now to join WHY Brands as we embark on our next and biggest growth journey, and you could be the next influential leader to play a key role in driving enormous customer-centered value and rapid growth.What You’ll Do:Contribute to all aspects of industrial design and take products from concept through productionDevelop new products and improve existing itemsManage all aspects of the product development process on assigned high priority projects from initial concept to generating new product innovationsConceptualize high level new product concepts through ideation sketching, mockups, 3D CAD, and presentationPerform competitive assessments, product research, and study customer reviewsParticipate in user testing to collect consumer insight and analyze feedback to determine if designs meet customer needs and safety requirementsMake strategic recommendations for product function and feature specification that elevates overall projectWork closely with the Engineering, Marketing, Costing, and Compliance departments to establish key product featuresAnalyze and help define color, materials, and finishes. Collaborate with the Branding team to drive brand consistency across all productsAssess product obstacles and use design skills to complete the project successfullyCoordinate with PMO to complete project tasks and meet shipping scheduleMentor and oversee projects with internsOther duties may be assignedBring It!Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Industrial Design preferred; and 5+ years of related experience designing product to productionKnowledge of hard goods, soft goods and electronics (including design of user interfaces)Experience with all phases of the creative design process, including trend research, design strategy, concept development, and manufacturing executionExperience designing and facilitating design and innovation workshopsKnowledge of manufacture and molding techniques, including injection molding, blow molding, rotocast, compression / liquid injection moldingHighly proficient in Solidworks, KeyShot, Illustrator and PhotoshopSelf-motivated, enthusiastic, with excellent time managementAbility to thoughtfully communicate your designs, receive feedback gracefully, and contribute to the work of othersExcellent team player and independent workerWe Got You Covered!As a Great Place to Work Certified company, we are committed to offering the best to our employees.
