TRADESPERSON IPurpose:
Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a
Tradesperson I
who supports the switchboard program for NSWC PHD.
This position is located in Camarillo, CA.
Job Description:
Builds switches for various switchboards for DDG, CG, CVN and L Class ships following detailed drawings, technical manuals and schematics with close supervision.
Assembles switch kits, wire harnesses and switchboard components from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams or schematics for Command and Control/Interior Communications Systems which includes engraving faceplates and description plates, printing wire markers and embossing cable tags with close supervision.
Serves as a member of a team supporting Interior Communications / Standard Module (IC/SM) and switchboard projects.
Job Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have some knowledge of electronics/electrical applications.
Must be a team player but also be able to work independently.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience reading and applying drawing technical requirements.
Security Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Must have a CAC card and maintain a CAC card.
Travel Requirements:
Travel- up to 50% including international travel.
If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
Physical Requirements:
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds aboard ships.
Pay Range:
$20 - $21 per hour
