This senior management position reports to the President and serves in an executive capacity as the chief advancement and development individual. The Vice President, Advancement and Executive Director Broward College Foundation builds and fosters productive relationships among philanthropic, corporate, and community leaders. The role also leads the Broward College Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

A dynamic change agent and brilliant strategist who will excel in strategic business planning development for all advancement functions.

Strategic thinker with the ability to develop a long-term strategic plan as well as the ability to acknowledge and seize imminent opportunities.

Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments in all relevant fields within Advancement and Development.

Provides overall leadership and vision for prospect management and cultivation of high value/high potential donors.

Develops and manages meaningful donor relations and stewardship programs within the broad context of the college's mission.

The Vice President, Advancement and Executive Director Broward College Foundation represents the college in various civic, community and professional organizations at the local, state, and national level as required.

Provides executive leadership and maintains the highest standard of ethics and integrity.

Comfortable working in a culture that pursues excellence while maintaining the highest level of respect for each other as colleagues; one that takes pride in our responsibility to serve each other, our students, and our community.

Works closely with senior leadership and serves as the liaison to the Broward College Foundation Board of Directors.

Nurtures relationships with experience scaling small gifts to larger gifts.

The position requires:

Master's Degree.

Fifteen or more years of relevant experience including ten or more years of management/leadership experience in large, public, or higher education institution.

Experience reporting to a board of directors preferred.

Strong investment management and financial management experience.

Experience generating seven figure gifts or clear evidence of the capacity to do so.

Proven business acumen.

Strong professional presence, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.

Proven success in managing and leading individuals and teams.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
