Position Summary

Reporting to the Dallas Christian College (DCC) President, the Vice President of Partner Engagement is a member of the President’s Cabinet and oversees fundraising operations, including:

Major donor fundraising

Annual giving

Capital campaigns

Church relations

Alumni relations

Estate planning

Grants

Foundation & corporate giving

Endowment fundraising

Essential Functions

The VP of Partner Engagement will advance the mission and vision of DCC by providing leadership through effective fundraising, alumni engagement, church engagement, and external relations.

Duties and Responsibilities

As the chief advancement officer, lead and coordinate fundraising activities of the College.

Participate in strategic planning and policy decisions as a member of the President’s Cabinet.

Fundraising Leadership

Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet financial goals.

Cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporations.

Provide leadership in executing fundraising initiatives.

Grow corporate and foundation fundraising efforts.

Alumni and Church Engagement

Oversee programs aimed at increasing alumni and church engagement.

Enhance strategies for church and alumni participation in DCC activities.

Public and External Relations

Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the College’s visibility.

Serve as a spokesperson for the College as needed.

Coordinate media relations and crisis management efforts.

Strategic Planning and Reporting

Contribute to the development of the DCC strategic plan.

Provide regular reports to the President on fundraising progress.

Leadership and Team Management

Serve on the President’s Cabinet to develop advancement strategies.

Lead and manage the Advancement team.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required: Earned bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred: Earned master’s degree in a relevant field.

Experience

Required: Proven record of successful fundraising experience.

Preferred: Experience in marketing and communications for higher education.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Technical Skills

Strong computer and software skills.

General Knowledge and Abilities

Understanding of the mission of biblical higher education.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Standard office conditions. Able to climb stairs.
