Under the supervision of the Aquatics leaders for the branch, the Swim Coach is responsible for producing high-quality training and implementing a swim program for the swimmers in our community. The Swim Coach will also be involved in all aspects of team development.Salary Range:

$25.00 to $31.00 per hourMinimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.Schedule:

Monday to Friday from 4:30pm - 7:30pmCertified in USA Swimming Coach Level 1*Complete YMCA and USA swimming team registrations as required yearly.Demonstrate a clear understanding of technical aspects of swimming, including strokes, diving, turns, etc.Ability to teach group and private lessons as needed.Ability to effectively supervise and coach swimmers, both on deck and in the water.Must possess mature judgment and sound decision-making.Ability to maintain positive and effective relationships with staff, participants, and the public.Excellent customer service, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to ensure swim team member satisfaction and retention.* Within 30 days of the start date** Within 90 days of the start datePreferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceBackground in competitive swimming, either as a coach or swimmer2-3 years of coaching experience with various agesY-USA or ASCA CertifiedCertified in American Red Cross Lifeguard*Certified in YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor**All employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors.
