About the JobThe On-Call Preschool Teacher is part of a team which provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all children enrolled in our program. The On-Call Preschool Teacher will support the preschool programs when additional staffing is needed. Hours may vary. The On-Call Teacher supports the teachers in the classrooms and maintains positive relationships with families being served at the YMCA of SF Preschool. The On-Call Teacher must have a positive attitude and model appropriate behavior when dealing with children. The On-Call Teacher must obey and follow all regulations set forth by Community Care Licensing as well as instructions given by the Lead Teacher and Site Coordinator.Expectations of On-Call Teachers are to be flexible and available to sub at multiple locations, including:Gateway Child Development Center: 559 Gateway Blvd, South San Francisco, 94080Edwin & Margaret Lee Tung Lok Early Childhood Learning Center: 75 Vallejo St, San Francisco, 94111Salary range: $18.00 to $25.00 per hourMinimum Qualifications

18 years or olderMinimum 6 ECE units, or enrolled in ECE coursesAssistant Teacher Permit or qualifiedMust be available Monday-Friday during program hoursRelated experience: 350+ days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years in a childcare settingCPR and First Aid certified (may complete upon hire)Provide TB clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafterSubmit proof of Immunizations for Influenza, Pertussis, and MeaslesSubmit Physical Health Clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafterFingerprint background check clearance through Community Care LicensingPreferred Qualifications

12 or more ECE unitsTeacher PermitBilingual in Spanish, Tagalog, Mandarin, or CantoneseAll employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors.
