Discovery Paralegal - Senior

The Discovery Paralegal includes but is not limited to the following:Analyze and interpret requests from customersResearch, locate, and gather material responsive to DMS requests including conducting outreach and informal interviews to respond to document requests and interrogatoriesAssist in preparation of declarationsScan paper materials to save as an image file (e.g., .PDF)Conduct responsiveness reviews of both ESI and paper materialsConduct legal privilege reviews using Symantec Clearwell, Adobe Pro with Redax, or other document review platforms providedAnalyze documents and proficiently apply deletion codes to diverse types of privileged informationReview the work of peers for accuracy and provide constructive edits to ensure quality and thoroughness of review and processingSupport effective teams to foster teamwork and planning and decision makingOrganize and maintain accurate records of assigned requests. This includes keeping detailed case notes, utilizing discovery plans, using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and entering case information into appropriate databasesPrepare electronic and/or paper releases for release to customersProvide a high degree of professionalism and customer service in all interactions with DMS customersPrioritize and schedule projects to accomplish objectivesCoordinate classification reviews with subject matter expertsMaintain close collaboration of projects with discovery team membersServe as consultant to government employees regarding privilege application and document productionProvide weekly statuses to management and periodic updates to Assistant General Counsels and other DMS customersConduct searches of the systems and databases to retrieve responsive documents or files (i.e., Sentinel, Internal Policy Office Policy Library and Policy Archives)

Basic QualificationsActive Top Secret ClearanceFive years of paralegal experienceThree years' experience in discovery/e-discoveryTwo years of experience performing privilege and other substantive reviews on litigation support projects.One year of experience reviewing electronic and paper materials for privilege on litigation support projects involving paper documents and electronic files.One year of experience using an eDiscovery review platform (e.g., Clearwell, Relativity) to accurately identify and redact privileged information.One year of experience researching and drafting responses to interrogatories.One year of experience obtaining documents for document collection and production.One year of experience communicating and driving litigation projects forward with clients and/or attorneys.Preferred QualificationsSeven years of paralegal experienceFive years' experience in discovery/e-discoveryThree years of experience performing privilege and other substantive reviews on litigation support projects. Comparable combination of education and experience may be acceptable.Three years of experience reviewing electronic and paper materials for privilege on litigation support projects involving paper documents and electronic files.Three years of experience using an eDiscovery review platform (e.g., Clearwell, Relativity) to accurately identify and redact privileged information.Three years of experience researching and drafting responses to interrogatories.Three years of experience obtaining documents for document collection and production.Three years of experience communicating and driving litigation projects forward with clients and/or attorneys.Preferred PLS certificate/AADemonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and coordination.Demonstrated excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite Products, document review and file management systems, and imaging.Shall have excellent Microsoft Office skills (specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Evolver Federal is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all job seekers.
