Business Loan and Grant Analyst

This position is located in the Program Management Division, Business, Direct Program Branch of the Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBCS).

This position is neither remote nor virtual. The employee will be expected to report in person to the assigned duty location.

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

For the GS-13 level:

Applicant must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Expert knowledge in applying credit and commercial lending policies, principles and procedures and financial analysis in the review of loan and grant proposals. Analyzes, reviews and processes energy program loan and grant applications.

There is no education substitution for the GS-13 level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
