Job Summary:The Business Unit Finance Director leads the finance team to ensure that all facets of the P&L are forecasted and achieved to include revenue, product costs, operating expense, cash and inventory. The position will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting, modelling and developing processes and tools to support the business. This role will serve as a business partner for the business unit VP and staff and have significant interaction across the facility as well as work with corporate finance and accounting. Experience in defense and aerospace industries is a major focus of this role within the business unit.

Job Responsibility:Manages FP&A for a facility with different product profilesManages performance of multiple departments through creating workforce and staffing plans for the business unit to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business resultsDirects financial planning and analysis activities in order to identify risks and opportunities and to contribute to the achievement of the organization's long-term financial goalsReviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management teamAdvises senior leaders by providing detailed analysis and reporting metrics on economic, business and financial developmentsPartners with sales, pricing and operations management to reduce inefficiencies, control investments and expand marginsParticipate and perform analysis and due diligence for M&A activitiesMaintain monthly, quarterly, yearly and multi-year forecasts and budgetsExtensive ad hoc and standard weekly/monthly reportingResponsible for proper documentation of financial standing for audit and regulatory purposesBe an integral part of the revenue forecasting process to support production planningEvaluate and assess the impact of current processes and bring in thought leadership for change and innovation for financial optimizationRequired Qualifications:8-10+ years of experienceExperience in defense and aerospace industries highly desirableExtensive systems knowledge in a manufacturing environment required (Oracle/Cobra/ProPricer/OpenPlan)Collaborative, proactive, good problem solver, results oriented, high energy; demonstrates urgency, fast pace and ability to multi-taskExceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with and advise senior management and staffExperience mentoring and developing staffReview basis-of-estimate labor and material costing for Firm-Fixed Price (FFP)/Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)/Time-and-Material (T&M) proposalsEnsure Percentage of Completion actuals and forecasts on FFP contracts are incorporated into weekly/monthly/quarterly forecastsWork closely with Program Managers and Engineering, and Program Finance leads to maintain accurate EAC forecasts for all contract typesBachelor's degree is requiredAn active clearance would be preferredLocations:This candidate must be able to work out of one of our East Coast locations including:Hudson, NHAndover, MAWest Lafayette, INChantilly, VATravel:
