OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Director of Business Development for Agency with Choice (AwC) is responsible for driving growth and securing new business opportunities for this service model (also known as a co-employment model). The Director develops and executes strategic plans to attract key funding partners, stakeholders, and potential clients. They will lead initiatives to enhance the visibility of Acumen as well as this service model and are responsible for fostering relationships and promoting the AwC model as an additional option of service that Acumen provides. As a representative of the company, the Director is responsible for presenting the company positively to current and potential customers.
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the AwC model
Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within new and existing markets where Acumen provides F/EA services
Identify and establish relationships with potential partners, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
Manage initial contracts, expansions, and contract outcomes to ensure compliance
Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop campaigns and materials that drive program growth and client acquisition
Lead and mentor a team that is aligned with Acumen's vision and mission
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff within the AwC team
Represent the best interests of Acumen and the clients served when interacting with all stakeholders
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned
Support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act accordingly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Travel 50%+
Industry experience in delivering the Agency with Choice model (co-employer)
Demonstrates detailed knowledge of the company's products and services
Possesses knowledge of competitive markets
Sales/Implementation/Operations experience
Possesses strong persuasive abilities
Exhibits strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Demonstrates ability to think creatively
Exhibits familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Communicates clearly and effectively
Demonstrates solid motivational and leadership skills
Maintains a professional but confident and outgoing demeanor
Able to conduct independent research
Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
A high standard of integrity and sound business ethics
Able to occasionally work other than typical work hours to meet high volume demands
