Job Description

Supervise/operate the color/sample samples lab in a manner that encourages consistently high levels of production in all areas in the most efficient and effective way possible. Monitor samples interface, samples, direct responsibility for color matching, maintain a good and safe environment for other lab employees to work in. Monitor necessary supplies needed for Samples Lab.Essential Job FunctionsColor Matching and production of acrylic coating samples, Monitor/update the sample/color data base program.Process all sample requests in a timely manner.Review special requests to determine direction and offer final approval, keep lab is in regulatory compliance.Communicate with customer / sales as required.Operate Sample lab in a manner that encourages high levels of production and efficiency at all times, manage individual and group projects to meet deadlines.Communicate goals and special needs to other sample lab personnel.Maintain inventory of all lab materials.Process monthly reports on-timeReceive / follow up with phone calls and requests.Double check all samples for accuracy before they are shipped.Communicate any needs or problems to department manager.Any other duties assigned by department manager.Qualifications

Coatings or Paint color matching and/or mixing experience is requiredGood verbal and written skillsHigh school diploma and formal educationComputer knowledge (Microsoft Office programs)Ability to visibly distinguish colors. Cannot be color blind and must pass color blind test.
