The Senior Accountant will work within the Finance and Accounting team to support the month-end closing process. The primary responsibility will be in the area of Asset accounting. The candidate must be self-driven and have a strong understanding of accounting principles, must be able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Recent SAP experience is strongly referred.

Responsibilities:

Perform CIP analysis and work closely with business.Maintain fixed asset within SAP which includes recording additions, disposals, transfers and depreciation in accordance with company policies.Prepare Fixed Asset roll forward schedules and reconciliations.Prepare journal entries, account analysis and reports related to Fixed assets, intangible assets and prepaids.Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).Respond to inquiries from businesses regarding accounting activities, reports and other support.Research discrepancies if any and correct variances.Support the financial close process in line with close schedule and tight deadlines (WD3).Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc.Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements.Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects.Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.May prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns.May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy.May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use.May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations.Qualifications:

7 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance related discipline.CPA or International Equivalent, with SOX experience preferred.Recent experience with SAP strongly preferred.Solid understanding of US GAAP.Excellent analytical skills with ability to independently and efficiently research.Advanced Excel skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment within tight deadlines.Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
