Location Newtown Athletic Club Description SummaryThe Events/Parties Sales Manager is responsible for driving event sales and bookings at our club, including birthday parties, private events, member appreciation events, and more. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, upselling services, and ensuring a seamless experience from booking to execution in coordination with the parties team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating memorable event experiences for our members and guests.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProactively seek out and generate new event sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets.Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to foster repeat business and referrals.Conduct client consultations to understand event needs and offer tailored recommendations and upsell opportunities.Respond to catering inquiries in a timely manner, ensuring all leads receive a response before EODCreate and customize event proposalsStrategize new prospects, qualifying, and maintaining a databaseCultivate existing and new client relationshipsParticipate in weekly BEO (Banquet Event Order) Meetings with Food & Beverage and Events Team to review upcoming events, discuss, and rectify all logistical challenges, and foresee potential problems or hindrancesMonitor the quality of the products and services providedGreet clients at the beginning of the event and conduction a final walkthrough to assure the event production is flawless, executing the entire event as requiredAssist in supervising, training, and directing catering team membersPosition Requirements Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event sales, hospitality, or a related industry.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
