Revenue Accountant
to join their team!
We are seeking a skilled individual to join a well-established company within the U.S. energy sector. The organization is involved in the acquisition, development, and production of oil and gas, with assets spanning numerous states and substantial reserves. With hundreds of employees, the company is committed to maintaining operational excellence and promoting a culture that values teamwork, integrity, and work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
Research and prepare monthly accruals for various properties, covering oil, gas, and NGL production.Handle the preparation, filing, and payment of state royalties and severance taxes for oil and gas production.Reconcile differences and discrepancies related to tax and royalty filings.Apply accounting principles to various tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical work.Support departmental efficiency through process improvement recommendations.Perform additional tasks as required.Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional experience in oil and gas revenue accounting (3-6 years for degree holders, or 7-10 years for those with a high school diploma/GED).Proficiency with Excalibur or comparable oil and gas accounting software is highly desired, along with strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office tools.Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
