Job DescriptionCSI Recruiting is working with an established surface royalty ownership group headquartered in Dallas, TX. The company has interests in Land/Resource Management and Water Services Operations and creates revenue generation through the entire value chain of oil and gas development. The firm is looking to add a Staff Accountant to support the company's Land and Resource Management business segment.
Working with the company's Produced Water business unit, this individual will:
Support the Senior Accountant responsible for the Land and Resource Management segment of the business.Prepare and record monthly oil and gas royalty revenuePrepare and record monthly surface, lease, easement, and material sales revenue (SLEM)Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements, general ledger account reconciliations, and journal entriesReview, investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities as they arise.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analyses.Prepare daily Treasury reporting.Assist in daily cash forecasting and transactions.Prepare oil and gas royalty and SLEM related cash deposits.Develop relationships across the organization to facilitate information sharing and proper accounting for transactions.Maintain complete and accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP.Familiarize oneself with the company's legal entities and overall business.Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
GAAP familiarity, in-depth and current1-2 years of accounting experience requiredComputer literate, including full suite of MS Office applicationsAbility to maintain composure and presence of mind under pressureStrong work ethic and a reputation for integrity and mature business judgmentA "hands-on" team playerAbility to interface with all levels of personnel in an informal operating environmentEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting requiredCurrent CPA or working toward CPA preferredOil & Gas experience preferred
