The Gig:

As Director - Marketing and Sailor Data (Marketing Analytics), you will play a pivotal role in transforming marketing strategies into actionable insights by leveraging advanced data science and ensuring data accessibility. You will collaborate across teams to enable the seamless execution of marketing initiatives, optimize media investment, and website performance, and enhance customer lifetime value. This role focuses on building the critical data infrastructure and insights that support the broader marketing strategy.

What You Will Be Up To:Clearly define metrics within your business (using fields, calculations, classifications, and groupings of data)Build requirements for data layers needed for specific business needsLead advanced analytics to optimize media investment, website performance, and customer lifetime value.Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for segmentation and strategic improvement.Capture and prioritize requests for data and advanced analytics amongst business units.Provide insights and data to support the execution of marketing strategies, ensuring a seamless integration between data science and marketing operations.Develop, implement, and optimize analytics frameworks to assess and improve marketing channel production, performance, and ROI.Utilize SQL, Python, and Tableau to generate marketing performance reports, insights, and recommendations.Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and transparency within the marketing departmenSuperPowers Required:

Strategic Partner: Work closely with teams to ensure that data and insights support the successful execution of marketing strategies.Client Management: Strong ability to manage internal stakeholders and 'manage upward' to senior leadership. Consulting experience is a plus.Project Management: Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects, ensuring timely and impactful insights.Marketing Analytics - Customer Segmentation: Expertise in end-to-end customer segmentation; including but not limited to data collections, data preparation, using ML algorithms (such as clustering) to identify patterns and similarities among customers, and production implementation.Marketing Analytics - Market Mix Modeling (MMM): Familiarity with MMM models both from an implementation, validation, and consumption perspective.Marketing Analytics - Optimization: Expertise in optimizing media investment by segmentation, channel, customer lifetime value, and other methods.General Analytics: Expertise using basic statistical techniques such as regression analysis, trend analysis, experimentation (A/B Testing), and other statistical testing.Data Leadership: Lead the development of key metrics, KPIs, and processes that promote effective data organization and management.Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau. Experience in creating and publishing data sets and views from multiple disparate sources. Experience working with a cloud environment such as GCP/AWS.Undergraduate degree in quantitative discipline, advanced degree preferred (M.S. / PhD).10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, marketing, or consulting, with a focus on hands-on data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics.Proven ability to drive tangible results through marketing analytics and statistical methods.5+ years of leadership experience, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and influence.8+ years of experience with advanced analytics tools (e.g., R, Python) and visualization platforms like Tableau.
