This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with all aspects of operational accounting for a growing retail apparel company. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running as our team tackles expansion.Essentials Functions:Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries for all operating accounts monthly.Perform credit card reconciliations and journal entries for all company credit cards monthly.Monitor internal purchase orders to support budgeting, cash management functions, and month-end close accrual process.Own the production accounts payable process including vendor relationship management, vendor set-up, and invoicing.Manage company-wide prepaid amortization.Own accounting for our capital and intangible assets, including recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposal of fixed assets.Develop exceptions management procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounts payable, accrued expenses, and operating expenses.Prepare inter-company entries and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely consolidation; period-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules; year-end audit schedules for the financial auditProvide data and analytics support to the Finance team as needed.Handle all aspects of rent including preparing monthly rent payments schedule, liaison with landlords, submitting monthly sales to landlords.Prepare journal entries and maintain P&L allocations monthly.RequirementsBA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or other relevant field of studyMinimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting and / or analytical finance role.Exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal skills, excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel proficiencyCapable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper-growth environmentDesire to continuously improve and a positive, "can-do" approachExperience with NetSuite, Newstore, ShopifyCPA certification a strong plusStrong knowledge of US GAAPStrong interpersonal and team building skills - ability to work with a diverse team and impart change across functional and business boundariesBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentFree Food & SnacksWellness ResourcesHybrid Position- in the Soho office Tuesday-ThursdaySalary Range $65,000-$70,000
