A company that provides solar field advisory and installation servicesWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in full-cycle accounting, including P&L and balance sheet preparation, journal entry posting, financial analysis, and compliance with accounting regulations. This role will involve collaborating with various departments, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and contributing to special projects as needed. The Senior Accountant will work closely with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONSPerform full cycle accounting from sales revenue to net income, including P&L and balance sheet preparation.Prepare and post journal entries, create detailed reports, and reconcile general ledger accounts.Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to forecast future financial performance.Summarize current financial status by collecting information and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.Maintain financial security by following internal controls and company policies, ensuring confidentiality of financial information.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and local, state, and federal financial regulations.Assist in internal and external audits, including providing necessary documentation and explanations.Account for and reconcile consolidation of intercompany accounts.Maintain fixed asset register and associated depreciation schedules.Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned.May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONSExperience in managing financial statements, budgets, and accounts payable and receivable.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software programs.Organize and prioritize daily dutiesKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREDProven experience with financial reporting requirements and financial analysis.Proficiency in accounting software and data entry.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDetail orientedGood communication and customer service skillsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in accounting5 years minimum Staff Accounting experienceExperience in Restaurants preferredAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteTotal Rewards:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation and sick/personal days401K with company matchQuarterly bonusVoluntary term life insurance for employee, spouse, and children
