What would you do as an Information Security Engineer

As an Information Security Engineer at Granite Edvance, you will be responsible for monitoring our systems for any potential cybersecurity threats, conducting regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, and implementing measures to mitigate risks and enhance our information security posture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a proactive approach to cybersecurity, establish and maintain security protocols, respond to security incidents promptly, and stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies. Your daily tasks will involve analyzing security data to proactively address any issues, creating and updating security documentation, and participating in ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of information security.

Would you be a great Information Security Engineer?

To excel as an Information Security Engineer at Granite Edvance, you should have a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and best practices. Experience in security engineering within a cloud-native or heavily cloud-focused environment is ideal. The ability to analyze complex information, think critically, work independently, communicate security-related concepts clearly, and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels is crucial for success in this role. Proficiency in Identity and Access Management (IAM), including SSO, PAM, and Cloud Identity is a plus.

Your success will be supported by your knowledge of cybersecurity principles, experience with a variety of cybersecurity products, and understanding of secure configurations for desktop and cloud environments. Working knowledge of a compliance framework such as NIST CSF, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 and certifications such as incident handler, SSCP, CCSP, or CISSP are preferred but not required.
