Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for our facilities. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
- Work with the project manager and team to implement the best HVAC solutions for our facilities, including energy-efficient systems.
- Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and components to manufacturers and company guidelines.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform tests on HVAC systems to ensure they are working efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand system layout and diagnose issues.
- Handle ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring they are working optimally and safely.
- Maintain and repair air compressors and related equipment.
- Work with electrical systems, including power distribution, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of HVAC systems.
- Keep records of all work activities, including repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies, and incident reporting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficient in handling ammonia, air compressors, and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and power distribution.
- Experience with HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a commercial environment.
- Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Availability for emergency or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, when necessary.
