Our new facility is designed to offer a comprehensive range of Orthopedic services to our patients, all in one convenient location.

Due to growth, we are hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to join our team.

The Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) prepares and maintains the Operating Room (OR) Suite.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (No Weekends, No Holidays)

Hours: 4-10 hour shifts (40 hours),

Pay: $30.94- $32.57 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

•High School Diploma/GED

•Certificate or Associate's degree in Surgical Technology OR one year of experience as a surgical technologist

  • Non-Certified Surgical Technologists must complete 15 Continuing Education Units (CEU) per year and report those units to leadership.
  • One year of orthopedic surgical technologist experience (preferred, but not required).
  • New grads are encouraged to apply!

•Surgical instrumentation including sterile processing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of orthopedic surgical technologist experience and new grads are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Prepare case carts for the next day’s surgery schedule, following the surgeon’s preference cards, noting on the case cart if an item is missing, and communicating with the Materials Manager or supervisor;
  • Demonstrate the proper use of sterile technique and monitor for breaches in sterile technique;
  • Assist other members of the team with terminal cleaning of room and preparation of OR for next patient;
  • Perform an initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator;
  • Assist the team members with gowning and gloving, draping the patient, and establishing the sterile field;
  • Monitor the use of and charge for all supplies used during the procedure;
  • Assist with inventory control by the proper count of supplies used and store and restock shelves, carts and areas as needed;
  • Assist in transferring patients from bed to stretcher and vice versa as needed;
