Responsible for building relationships between IT and academic and business offices across campus, increasing the value realized from IT assets, investments, and capabilities. Responsible for understanding the business, assisting in the prioritization of projects, ensuring that projects align with technology that provides maximum return on investment, and leading IT strategy to support overall business strategy.Responsibilities
Collaborate with and act as a trusted advisor to leadership to align technology solutions with business and IT strategic plan/roadmap.Work with leadership to plan new initiatives, evaluate proposals, develop and maintain multiyear IT business capability road maps.Partner with project and portfolio management to ensure a healthy and well-managed initiative portfolio.Focus on IT business value and optimization rather than solutions to develop ideas, including digital awareness, risk assessments, business continuity, financial awareness and business capability requirements.Participate in the IT annual budgeting and planning process for the assigned business units, and tracks IT spend.Develop and manage the relationship between IT and business units across campus.Drive Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiations to enhance value to business units.Ensure that the functional requirements are fully met by the solution.Recognize, develop, communicate complex business requirements, innovation and awareness programs providing concise message to stakeholders.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, computer science, finance, or IT-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Other Required Qualifications:
Create and maintain credibility with business offices across campus. Must demonstrate acumen in business and function disciplines. Understand and integrate business strategies and trends in technology to deliver value. Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting. Outstanding end customer/consumer relationship skills.Required Experience:
Four to five years of job related experience.Preferred Qualifications
Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP), Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM).Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This job requires proven experience in IT, the ability to exercise independent judgement and to take action. Facilitate the development and implementation of business initiatives based on management objectives.Equal Employment Opportunity
