Job Description:

Summary:Join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact. As a Stewardship Associate, you will report directly to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for External and Donor Relations, contributing to the work of the Division of Advancement. You will provide essential administrative support and coordinate key aspects of the donor acknowledgment and recognition process. This role involves regular interaction with stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person, fostering positive relationships and driving our mission forward. Responsibilities:

Monitors and answers External & Donor Relations phone line and email address, routing and responding to incoming calls and email correspondence in a professional and timely manner.

Supports a variety of donor stewardship efforts including preparing and mailing acknowledgement cards and endowment reports. Coordinates key aspects of the donor acknowledgment and recognition process.

Research information to draft and prepare stewardship reports and materials.

Maintains inventory of naming opportunities and donor recognition signage and approvals.

Maintains departmental expenditures and budget tracking, submits and processes approved expenses for payment.

Performs basic data look ups and assists with database maintenance, reports, and mail/email lists ensuring accuracy.

Supports a variety of executive and donor event efforts, including calling for and tracking event RSVPs, making nametags and other event collateral.

Prepares meeting materials and drafts minutes from select meetings.

Manages inventory of UMSL branded gift items. Coordinates orders with appropriate staff.

Recognizes and solves typical and emerging problems that occur without supervisory approval.

Organizes and completes assignments according to priorities and deadlines.

Uses discretion and judgement, as applicable, to evaluate work and division processes and modify to achieve results or improve efficiency.

Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

At least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.

Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact/work with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds.

Must be able to handle sensitive, confidential and/or complicated information and use judgement to communicate to and within the team and/or necessary parties.

Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.

Must have exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Anticipated Hiring Range:Pay commensurate with education and experience. Hiring Range: $18.50-$20.50 per hour. Grade: GGS-8. University Title: Advancement Associate II.
