Role
Lochsa Engineering has an opportunity for a qualified Senior Civil Designer to join our land development team. Candidates will play a key role in the design and development of land projects. Our projects portfolio includes multi-family residential, commercial industrial, and community projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop comprehensive civil designs that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed civil design plans for land development projects, including grading, drainage, roadways, and utility systems.
Utilize design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) to create accurate and efficient design drawings and models.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate design elements and ensure compatibility with overall project goals.
Conduct site assessments and analyses to inform design decisions and address any potential issues.
Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, and project documentation.
Ensure designs comply with local regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil design, with a focus on land development projects.
Proficiency in design software, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar tools.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, land development processes, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
U.S. Citizen, U.S. Resident with valid green card, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
