Lawelawe leverages our NHO status to secure federal contracts that not only drive business success but also support our overall mission to uplift economically disadvantaged Native Hawaiian families and preserve the Native Hawaiian heritage.You are:The Social Media Manager is expected to develop and operate a website and associated mobile application (App). The ideal Social Media Manager candidate will be fluent in Spanish or Portuguese.How you will make an impact:The Social Media Manager shall develop and operate a website and associated App in accordance with the Government’s requirements and at accepted industry standards, with consideration for regional and local cultural and social norms.Responsibilities:Maintain situational awareness of United States policy and events in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility and keep abreast of current developments in the region to coordinate and, as appropriate, direct coordinated content selection for websites and apps.Manage the website’s associated social media pages/sites for each existing website and conduct social media assessments.Perform additional quality checks and conduct a preliminary assessment of submitted work to ensure its appropriateness to the site and readiness for publication.Ensure all site content has been approved, monitor feature and word counts, and make recommendations to help achieve high customer satisfaction within site content budget constraints.Contribute to periodic reviews and reports as requested by the COR.Advise customers regarding emerging web trends and monitor the growth of internet technologies within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility to make recommendations for technological improvements to websites.The team:Lawelawe Defense Inc ("LDI") is an SBA Certified 8(a) Native Hawaiian Owned (NHO) SDB. Lawelawe Defense offers an outstanding record of delivery on various projects encompassing: Program and Portfolio Management; Systems Engineering and Architecture; Network Engineering and Operations; Data Center Optimization and Operations; Desktop/Server and Application Virtualization.Here's what you need:Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.This position requires an active Secret security clearance.Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.Minimum of five years of experience managing social media accounts for brands or organizations.Track record of growing audience engagement and driving results through high-quality social media campaigns, connecting with existing followers.Working knowledge of social media analytics and scheduling tools.Clear, confident communication abilities to craft engaging content.Must have current experience utilizing social media tools.Bonus if you:Prior experience working in the J39 supporting Information Operations.Prior experience managing social media accounts, including government content.Proficiency with Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, SharePoint, and Teams.Disclaimer:The above job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
