You are:You are an experienced Website Media Support Editor for the Information Operations Deputy Directorate (J39).How you will make an impact:As an on-site journalist/editor you will have knowledge of web metrics and social media expertise.The Editor is expected to assist with content development, interviews, photography, and editorial review of material.Responsibilities:Maintain situational awareness of United States policy and events in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility and keep abreast of current developments in the region in order to coordinate and, as appropriate, direct coordinated content selection for websites.Monitor and enforce publication schedule for sites in close collaboration with customer and editorial teams.The Editor shall perform additional quality checks and conduct preliminary assessment of submitted work for appropriateness to site and readiness for publication.The Editor shall ensure all site content has been approved and shall monitor feature and word counts and make recommendations to help achieve high level of customer satisfaction within site content budget constraints.The Editor shall contribute to periodic reviews and reports as requested by the COR.The Editor shall advise customers regarding emerging web trends and monitor growth of internet technologies within the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility to recommend technological improvements to websites.The team:Lawelawe Defense Inc ("LDI") is an SBA Certified 8(a) Native Hawaiian Owned (NHO) SDB Lawelawe Defense offers an outstanding record of delivery on various projects encompassing: Program and Portfolio Management; Systems Engineering and Architecture; Network Engineering and Operations; Data Center Optimization and Operations; Desktop/Server and Application Virtualization.Here's what you need:Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.This position requires an active Secret security clearanceMinimum bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.Minimum of five years of experience in website content management, including editing, formatting, and publishing multimedia content.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices and website analytics.Proven work experience with a demonstrable portfolio of work.Must have current experience utilizing social media tools.Bonus if you:

Prior experience working in the J39 supporting Information Operations.Prior experience providing Social Media Editing for classified content.Proficiency with Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, SharePoint, and TeamsDisclaimer :
