Designer, StaffDescription:Review and analysis of electrical drawings, specifications and submittals;3D modeling of pathway and circuiting layout consistent with the electrical design based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and field installation leads;Equipment layout adjustments based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and according to the engineering design;Participation in the design coordination process and resolving coordination conflicts;Production of coordination/shop drawings and installation details;Production of sketches to support field installation tasks;Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related concepts;Knowledge of field installation best practices;Knowledge of critical design software including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and MS Office.Experience:Field experience with electrical installations is strongly desired;Design experience with the listed tools is strongly required.General Requirements:Attention to detail;Strong problem-solving skills;Ability to work as part of a multi-discipline team;Commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;Must have a high school diploma or GED with 8+ years of experience.Certifications and Licenses:Completed electrical apprenticeship and journeyman or master electrician status strongly desired.Abilities:Exposure to computer screens for extended periods;Sitting for extended periods;Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction;Finger dexterity to manipulate objects;Listen and understand spoken information;Communicate information clearly;Read and understand written information;Apply general rules to specific problems;Identify and understand speech of others.
