Associate AttorneyPay:
$200,000 to $400,000 plus (base salary + performance-based bonuses paid twice monthly)Sign On Bonus:
$25,000 signing bonus (payable at 3, 6, and 12 months of employment)Full Benefits:Life and long-term disability insuranceOpportunities for community outreachA positive, fulfilling, caring environment where learning and growing are encouragedAnnual company goal tripRequirements:Licensed in New Mexico or ability to become licensed through reciprocity or UBE score3+ years experience litigating personal injury cases (plaintiff or defense)Ability to relocate to Albuquerque, NM ($10,000 relocation assistance package provided)Available in the office, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (and more as required for caseload)Position Description:MISSION STATEMENT:
Using intelligent, compassionate, and determined advocacy to effectively maximize recovery for our clients.RESULTS / OUTCOMES:Be in the office from 8 AM to 5 PM, if not out of the office at meetings, hearings, depositions, or trials.Review and note action on out-of-standard cases with lead attorney weekly.Resolve cases within Full Settlement Value (95%).Achieve full attorney fee (95% of cases).Convert clients (90%).Bring in $1.5 Million in attorney fees per year.DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Intake / First Meeting with Client:Show compassionNote all facts pertinent to liability, damages, coveragePosture case by articulating client and office action itemsEvaluate and direct investigation to begin building case for trialDetermine insurance coverageNegotiation:Prepare case for trialEvaluate Full Settlement Value and obtain authorizationNegotiate with adjusters; keep client informedSpeak with adjusters, build and maintain negotiation relationshipsFile suit where needed, and prepare client for litigationLitigation:Prepare pleadings and discovery for lawsuitsPrepare case for trial, arbitration, and/or mediationGeneral:Timely review and sign correspondence drafted by team membersTop Skills for this Role
