The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for formulating system scope and objectives, validating developed requirements, testing, training and implementing applications, and providing end user support. The role will specialize in our digital and personal banking platforms, driving innovations and improvements to enhance client experiences and operational efficiency.
The role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth, validating and documenting business requirements ensuring project control procedures and policies are executed. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will assist in determining methods and approaches to projects aligning with enterprise governance standards, providing business support relative to the development, analysis and identification of process changes or system enhancements. The role uses judgement and autonomy on day to day tasks, providing operational support for projects after implementation including problem resolution and recommendations to ensure ongoing success. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for possible improvements.
What you'll be doing

The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for possible improvements.

How you'll succeed
Understanding and Documenting Requirements
- Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. Define acceptance criteria and assist with user acceptance testing to ensure success feature implementation. Strong research, technical analysis, planning and organizational skills
Analyze and Evaluate Systems and Processes
across the private, personal and digital banking. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to recommend improvements and enhancements. Detail-oriented, critical thinking skills to investigate complex problems and making sense of information. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
Solution Design
- Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development). Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, user acceptance testing, and quality assurance.
Leading and Mentoring
– Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to a diverse team of business, technology, and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. Assist in developing materials to facilitate training sessions and provide support to system users.
Governance
– Ensure all Enterprise and US region PMO and Governance rules are followed in the creation and documentation of requirements, testing, and implementation of applications. Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
Who you are
You have 3+ years
of Business Systems Analyst experience (i.e., writing user stories, creating and updating systems Use Cases, etc.). Preferably as part of a digital banking team.
