Instructional DesignerPosition SummaryThe Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating, curating, and delivering high-quality training materials and learning experiences across multiple platforms. It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, and inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-preform on a large commercial scale.LOCATIONTempe, Arizona (On-Site)WHY OKLANDProgressive leadershipGrowth, training, and development opportunitiesLeadership Development ProgramCompetitive salary ratesGenerous PTO, 4 weeks starting year DOEHealth, Life, & Disability Insurance401k with company matchEmployee Recognition and RewardsEmployee Bonus Referral ProgramCompany Bonus EligibilityCompany Sponsored EventsA people-focused culture united by our shared values.A commitment to delivering the most remarkable experience for all stakeholders.Job DutiesDesign and develop instructional materials for various learning formats, including e-learning, video tutorials, animation, presentations, and blended learning.Lead the production and editing of video-based training modules.Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and translate them into engaging and effective instructional content.Implement instructional strategies, such as simulations, job aids, role-playing, and interactive modules, to enhance the learning experience.Manage the end-to-end process of video creation, including scripting, filming, and post-production.Ensure all materials adhere to adult learning principles and align with company goals and brand standards.Optimize content for multiple platforms (LMS, mobile, web).Work closely with internal teams to update training materials as needed.Stay current with industry trends in instructional design, e-learning, and videography.Utilize feedback and data to continuously improve training materials and learner engagement.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or a related field.Adaptable to shifting priorities.Experience with graphic design, animation, and photography preferred.Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development.Strong videography skills, including storyboarding, filming, and video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.).Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools (e.g., Absorb).Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Fluency in Spanish is a plus.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
