Job Description:
Visual Experience DesignLocation: Remote or Hybrid in Vienna, VA12 month ContractUSC Citizen Preferred
To conceive visual design solutions to complex product initiatives through composition, typography and interaction models, keep deliverables engaging and on-brand, and drive cross channel projects. Develops project execution plan, deployment schedule, and implements UX design projects of a moderate to complex scope. Resolves complex design problems. Works independently with limited guidance on moderately complex projects with significant impact.
Develop and recommend comprehensive visual design solutions
Conceive and recommend visual experience design strategy
Optimize the user experience through creating visual on-brand compositions that drive improved experiences.
Influence team members and business partners, explaining the impact of designing/developing with the end user in mind.
Collaborate with project teams to define the visual identity.
Defines user experience goals through visual engagement.
Operate within the right Design Thinking methodology based on the product, channel, audience, and the application requirements or workflow.
Create and apply visual design styles and best practices, such as composition, color theory, accessibility and typography, and guides the team in their use through style guide creation.
Create prototypes for testing to ensure design meets business and user objectives.
Act as subject matter expert for design inspiration.
Recommend user experience improvement opportunities.
Ensures design solutions remain engaging to the customer.
Act as stakeholder in user acceptance testing to verify the final execution of a product in the development stage.
Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines across a broad variety of product categories and audiences.
Proactively draw out user experience or design issues and successfully address those issues to ensure projects stay on track to meet interim project milestones.
Must have requirements:
Experience with agile, and user centered design a must.
Hybrid work arrangement so candidates who can make the drive to campus 4 days a month will be expected. There is no set day or time, they make their own schedule.
Resumes should have portfolio or work samples included.
A MINIMUM of 3 real world examples of DIRECT work - Wireframes, Prototypes, Flows, User stories. NOT projects from general assembly or similar programs.
Cannot be on a sponsored work Visa (we don't sponsor).
