OverviewFoley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Corporate Immigration Paralegal to join our growing team. As a vital member of the firm's client service team, our Corporate Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for researching, drafting and preparing complex employment, investment and treaty-based visa petitions. A qualified candidate must be organized, able to multi-task and meet deadlines, work independently and also as a collaborative member of our client service team. This individual must have experience working with the U.S. Department of Labor procedures, knowledge of National Visa Center processing, consular processing, immigrant/non-immigrant visas, and AOS processes.
Responsibilities
Researching, drafting and preparing complex employment, investment and treaty-based visa petitions
Preparing H-3 Trainee, Individual L, or L-blanket petitions
Preparing E-1/E-2 treaty/trader investor visas, EB-5 investor visas, TN, H-1B, and E-3 visas, extraordinary ability visas
Drafting and filing labor condition applications
Resolving client registration and processing issues
Crafting ad listings for PERM Labor Certification
Managing recruitment through submitting applications to DOL in compliance with federal requirements
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Paralegal certificate required per CA state law (for California applicants)
Minimum of three (3) years' of corporate immigration experience required
Experience with drafting L's, H's, and PERM Labor Certifications required
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and knowledge of immigration-based software desired
Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking and writing skills are a plus
Pursuant to the California Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the salary range for this Los Angeles based position is between $78,500 - $128,100. Pursuant to the New York City Human Rights Law and Washington DC Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this New York or Washington DC based position is between $81,900 - $133,700. These figures represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
