Responsibilities
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policiesDrives truck to destinationPrepares receipts for load pick upMaintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policyMaintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructionsLoads and unloads truckInspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and waterPerforms daily pre and post trip of vehicleTarps all loads when public roadway travel is necessaryTrims all loads prior to tarping when necessaryOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institutionClass A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experienceMedical cardClean driving recordCustomer Service and TeamworkStrong Verbal and written communication skillsAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as neededAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience3 years of commercial driving experienceStrong preference for 3 years of tri-axle driving experienceTWIC card preferred with CDL class AHazmat and Tanker EndorsementExperience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarriesOSHA or other relevant safety certifications
