The ideal candidate is safety focused, pays attention to detail, and excels at teamwork. A CDL license is not required.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policiesPerforms pre and post trip of truck every day and fills out daily inspection sheetsDrives safely and efficiently to transport material and achieve production goalsMoves levers to raise and tilt truck bed to dump materialPerforms routine maintenance on truck such as lubrication and cleaningCross trained to assist with maintenance whenOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
A combination of education and experience may be considered
Driver’s licenseClean Driving recordEffective verbal and written communicationAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as neededAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and ExperienceOne year of experience operating heavy equipment with a strong preference for Water or Haul Truck operationExperience in a quarry, open pit mine, heavy civil/road construction, or other heavy industryCDL A or BMSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training
