www.crossboundary.comJob DescriptionCrossBoundary is recruiting a few full-time Investment Advisors to join CrossBoundary in Latin America. As a member of the transaction team, you will actively contribute to a powerful intervention that has the potential for significant impact on investment into Latin America and the Caribbean, in addition to building CrossBoundary’s long-term presence in the region.As an Investment Advisor, you will identify and evaluate investment opportunities, conduct macroeconomic market assessments, and provide investment transaction support. Investment Advisor candidates should have 7+ years of experience working in high-caliber finance or consulting organizations and experience working in developing countries – ideally in Latin America. Team members come from diverse backgrounds but share several qualities: curiosity, humility, integrity, a drive for excellence, and a bias for action.Who You AreSelf-starter who is passionate about creating lasting change in frontier marketsWillingness to take on new types of work, even without prior experience or direct supervisionWillingness to work and live in a sometimes-challenging environmentComfort with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a changing contextPrimary ResponsibilitiesOverseeing technical and operational aspects of the implementation of CrossBoundary’s mandates in Latin America and the CaribbeanManaging project performance and overseeing reporting of all project activities and results to key program stakeholdersManaging investment facilitation including:Transaction identification and evaluationIdentification and rigorous assessment of investment opportunitiesMarket assessment and ongoing market analysisConducting macroeconomic, regulatory, and operational assessmentsProviding sector analysis of priority areas for investmentInvestor sourcingManaging numerous investor relationshipsTransaction supportLeading complex transactionsQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:5+ years in top tier banking, consulting, private equity, or similarBachelor’s degree required; MBA or another advanced degree strongly desiredExperience working in developing countriesSpanish and English business fluency (Portuguese if located in Brazil)Demonstrated leadership skills; preferably in fast-moving and complex environmentsExcellent analytical ability and discipline; ability to think clearly, structure problems logically, and then design and implement solutions that focus on the core issueExcellent quantitative skills; ability to apply analytical rigor to complex and uncertain tasksKnowledge of corporate finance and familiarity with company evaluation and valuation techniquesAbility to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues in stressful environmentsExcellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiencesComfort with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a changing contextWillingness to work and live in a sometimes challenging environmentKnowledge of the Latin American investment landscape (or previous work experience in it)Experience working with a range of stakeholders (including private equity firms, Development Finance Institutions, and development agencies) to support investments in high impact sectorsLocationThe Investment Advisors will be based in El Salvador.
