LOA & WC Human Resource Manager for 1,800+ employees for a growing healthcare organization.The Human Resource Manager manages Leave of Absence programs for 1800+ employees while also maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the most current laws and regulations pertaining to leaves, workers' compensation, OSHA, and other state and federal programs. The manager provides guidance on the interpretation of HR policies, federal and state employment law compliance, with the ability to manage all facets of HR. Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, this position is in a dynamic, hands-on environment requiring strong communication and leadership skills supporting management, peers, and employees.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Manages Leave of Absence programs for 1800+ employees, including application, participation, benefits, and compliance for both company and employees.Maintains informational tools and knowledge of current laws and regulations relating to FMLA, Workers' Compensation, PDL, USERRA, CFRA, OSHA, etc.Manages workers' compensation cases, including documenting, reporting, and monitoring open and pending cases.Maintains relationships with insurance vendors and clinics involved in injury evaluations.Serves as co-chair of the company-wide safety committee.Ensures OSHA training is completed for all employees and that all OSHA requirements are met.Attends, documents, and reports any legal proceedings relating to worker's compensation or leave of absence claims.Manages and facilitates ergo evaluations for office/home-based employees.Maintains working relationships with various assigned internal clients.Provides guidance on the interpretation of HR policies and federal and state employment law compliance.Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all Company personnel; develops and implements new and revised personnel policies and procedures.Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.Keeps informed of developments and trends in the industry to ensure accurate information is communicated throughout the organization.Researches and drafts guidelines, policies, and procedures relating to human resources issues.Payroll Management: Including collection of time sheets, calculation of payroll hour entries, allocation of entries, and administration of wage garnishments.Provides employee relations support, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement counseling.Conducts investigations regarding discrimination and unfair employment practices.Collaborates with executive management to design services created to meet the needs of employees.Demonstrates organization and planning skills necessary to handle changing priorities and numerous projects simultaneously.Must have initiative and be capable of independent thought and action with good problem-solving skills.Supports all Goals of the organization.Other duties as directed by management.Education and Experience:

BA or BS degree and HR certificate or related experience.3 - 5 years' experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on leave administration, worker's compensation, and safety management compliance.Experience in a supervisory/management role, owning the LOA program for a sizeable number of employees, preferably in a healthcare setting.Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations including OSHA, ADA, EEO, Workers' Comp, employment law, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.Working knowledge of PC operations, including spreadsheet and database management and ad-hoc reporting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with staff at all levels of the organization.Compensation depends on experience but is typically $80-95K. However, we are willing to send qualified candidates over budget (potentially with an annual bonus, especially if you have one now, to ensure you are hitting your TC goals).About Kore1
