As part of our client’s financial long-term strategy for growth in Employee Benefits, this position is responsible for developing and managing a specified geographic territory. The person in this role will be charged with building meaningful business relationships with brokers and other centers of influence in order to expand the distribution of Employee Benefits products and services.You will be responsible for driving and managing sales activity in the territory of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.Primary Responsibilities:Developing and maintaining Key Broker RelationshipsBuild Brand – maintaining a strong, visible presence in the assigned territoryDeveloping meaningful pipelineClose Employee Benefit BusinessGenerate new opportunities and guide them from prospect to closureAchieve activity and assigned revenue targetsConduct sales and product seminars as necessaryManage assigned territory to achieve net quote activity levels that meet selling objectivesUse Group Market Share, MiEdge, and Salesforce data effectively to expand market presence and increase sales productionDevelop a plan to achieve case activity targets that align with their core strategyJob Requirements:Established broker relationships with experience in LTD, STD, and Group LifeProduce within the assigned territory and achieve satisfactory sales results and submissions of client’s productsExceptional skill in developing and maintaining relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, management) and external clientsAbility to build strong interpersonal relationships with a collaborative styleAdvanced ability to develop strategies and business plans and then deliver on established objectivesOutstanding presentation and consultative selling skillsAble to travel up to 50% to meet with targeted prospectsBachelor's Degree or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent backgroundLife and Health licenseMinimum of two - four years of Employment Benefit Sales experienceThis is an excellent opportunity to work for a leader in their industry.
